Frequently asked questions

  • What are Points?

Points are the loyalty currency of Club One. Members earn them on travel, onboard purchases, hotel stays, e-shop orders and other services offered by Tallink Silja Line. These points are collected into the member’s account and can later be redeemed for various discounts.

  • How do I earn Points?

Members earn Points based on their Membership Level and Qualifying Spending. The higher the level, the more points are earned per euro: Club earns 20 points, Silver earns 30 points, Gold earns 35 points, and Platinum earns 40 points per 1 € spent. Points are added to your account after your trip or purchase is completed and only for Qualifying Spending personally used by the member.

  • How can I use my Points?

Points can be used to get discounts on travel tickets during checkout using a slider tool, pay for purchases in Tallink E-SHOP (up to 10% of the order value), upgrade your hotel room at Tallink Hotels (where the option is offered at check-in) or pay up to 10% of the order value at Tallink Hotels bars and restaurants, including restaurant NOK NOK.

  • Are there any Tallink Silja Line services that do not award Points?

Points are not awarded for tobacco products, ticket surcharges (such as fuel and CO₂ fees), third-party services, bookings made with corporate rates, purchases made at BURGER KING® restaurants, services not personally used by the member, purchases made using a Tallink Silja Line corporate credit card, hotel stays paid by a company or booked through resellers and services not linked to the member’s Club One Account.

  • How long are my Points valid?

Points are valid for 24 months from the date they are registered to your Club One account. Points are always redeemed starting from the oldest ones first.

  • What should I do if I’m missing Points?

Don’t worry, Points are usually added within a week after your trip or purchase. Just make sure your Club One number was included during booking or payment, and that the purchase qualifies for points. Please note that points can’t be added later if your Club One number wasn’t presented at the time of purchase.

  • Can I still transfer Points to another member?

With the renewed program, free Points transfers between individual members are no longer available. Instead, Points can be collected and used together within a Family Group – and now you can include not just family, but also friends in your group.

  • What are Club One membership levels?

Club One has four membership levels – Club, Silver, Gold and Platinum – based on how much a member spends during their personal 12-month tracking period. Higher levels unlock more benefits like faster point earnings, better ticket discounts and exclusive perks across travel, shopping and services.

  • How can I reach different levels?

Members reach higher Club One levels by accumulating Qualifying Spending during their personal 12-month tracking period – Silver at 500 €, Gold at 1,500 € and Platinum at 7,500 €.

  • What is qualifying spending?

Qualifying spending is the value of travel, shopping and service purchases personally used by you and linked to your Club One account. This includes your own tickets, your share of cabin costs, car tickets, onboard and e-shop purchases, extra services booked for your personal use and other services offered by Tallink Silja Line.

  • What is the tracking period?

Every Club One member has their own 12-month tracking period that starts on the day you join Club One. All Qualifying Spending during this time counts toward reaching a higher membership level. When the tracking period ends, a new 12-month period begins, and level progress resets to zero.

  • How long does my level last once I’ve reached it?

When you reach a new level, it is valid until the end of the next full tracking period – meaning the remainder of your current period + the next 12 months.

  • What does not count towards level progression?

Level progression is based only on personal Qualifying Spending. The following does not count: tobacco products, third-party services, bookings made with corporate rates, services not personally used by the member, purchases made using a Tallink Silja Line corporate credit card, hotel stays paid by a company or booked through resellers and services not linked to the member’s Club One Account. Ticket surcharges (such as fuel and CO₂ fees) do count toward level progression but do not earn Points.

  • Do children earn levels?

Junior members (under 18) do not progress in levels – their account remains at Club level until they turn 18. Once they become full members, level tracking begins based on their own Qualifying Spending. While Junior members don’t progress in levels, any Points from their purchases are added to the shared Family Group account.

  • What are Trip Rewards?

Trip Rewards is a feature where you earn titles and unlock rewards based on the number of trips you take during your 12-month tracking period. Once the tracking period ends, your trip count resets.

  • How do I collect trips?

Trips are collected by traveling on Qualifying Trips – 1 trip for a one-way journey, and 2 trips for a cruise or return ticket.

  • Do all bookings count towards Trip Rewards?

Most bookings count towards Trip Rewards as long as the member’s Club One number is linked to the booking. However, trips booked with corporate rates, staff rates, zero-fare tickets or where the member is registered as a free group leader or bus driver are excluded. Only trips where the member personally travels are counted.

  • How do I know that I’ve unlocked a reward?

Once you unlock a Trip Reward, you will receive a notification by email and in your Club One account. You can log in to your account to view available rewards and choose the one you want.

  • How long are rewards valid?

Rewards must be claimed and used within two months of reaching the milestone. For travel-related rewards, the booking must be made within this two‑month period, and the travel itself may take place up to six months from reaching the milestone. Validity cannot be extended.

NB! If the reward is earned at the very end of the member’s personal tracking period, it must be claimed before the end of that tracking period. Once the tracking period ends, claiming the reward is no longer possible.

  • Are Trip Rewards personal or shareable?

Trip Rewards are personal and can only be used by the member who earned them. They cannot be transferred to others.

  • What is a Family Group?

A Family Group allows members to pool their Points into one shared account, making it easier to earn and redeem points together – whether you’re family or close friends.

You can also add children to your group and collect Points from their share of Qualifying services.

Plus, booking is easier than ever – simply select any group member with one click using pre-filled traveler details.

  • Who can be part of a Family Group?

A Family Group can include family members, children, or close friends – anyone you regularly travel with and want to collect points together with.

  • How many members can be in a Family Group?

Up to 8 members can be in one Family Group.

  • What’s the role of the Group Owner?

The Group Owner is the member who creates the Family Group. They manage the group by inviting or removing members and controlling who has permission to use the shared Points for bookings and purchases.

  • Do Family Group members have the same membership level?

No, Club One membership levels are always personal. Each member’s level is based on their own individual spending and is not shared with other Family Group members.

  • What happens to my Points when I join a Family Group?

Your Points are pooled into the Family Group account. When you leave or are removed, the points stay in the group.

  • Can I join more than one Family Group?

No, a member can only belong to one Family Group at a time. However, you can leave your current Family Group at any time and either join a new one or create your own.

  • What happens if I leave a Family Group?

If you leave a Family Group, any Points you contributed will remain in the shared Family Group account and cannot be transferred back to your personal account. Leaving the group does not affect your personal Club One level or level progression in any way.

  • Can children be part of a Family Group?

Absolutely! Children under 18 can join Club One as Junior members – they just need to be added through a Family Group by a parent or legal guardian. It’s the perfect way for families to collect points together.

  • What is a Junior Account?

A Junior Account is for Club One members under the age of 18 and is managed by the Family Group Owner until the junior reaches adulthood. Juniors remain at Club level and do not earn trips for the Trip Rewards, but the Points earned from their purchases go to the shared Family Group account.

  • What happens when a Junior turns 18?

When a Junior member turns 18, the Family Group Owner is prompted to provide the Junior’s email address so the account can be converted into a full Club One membership. If the invitation is not accepted within 12 months, the Junior Account will be closed and removed from the Family Group.

  • How can I find my Family Group member’s account numbers?

You can find the Club One account numbers of your Family Group members under your Club One account settings, in the Family Group section. All group members and their account numbers are listed there for easy reference.
